Job Purpose
ICE Clear Credit, as subsidiary of Intercontinental Exchange Inc., is the world’s largest systemically important Clearinghouse for Credit Default Swaps (CDS). It is an entrepreneurial and aggressive organization that implements world-class clearing solutions.
ICE Clear Credit is seeking a Lead Systems Analyst to work closely with our internal Business and Technology teams to define end-to-end systems requirements for initiatives related to Clearinghouse systems.
Leads systems analysis activities, processes, procedures, resources and teams that contribute to the design, development, support and compliance of complex application software solutions that add significant value and satisfy identified requirements for critical processes and functions across multiple business lines. Systems analysis and support responsibilities include the ongoing prioritization, scoping, requirements gathering and technical design of work requests and projects for new implementations, upgrades, and enhancements of business-critical applications in OTC Post-Trade Functionality including CDS Clearing. Possesses technical knowledge to support systems analysis and considers the business implications of the technology application to the current and future business environment. Support responsibilities include contributing to Systems Operations, incident resolution, and root cause analysis for a large application portfolio that consists of multiple, systemically important systems to the financial industry. Position will stay closely in sync with the needs and priorities of various business lines and be accountable for contributing to evaluations, business cases, and the design specifications for the development of solutions toward achieving business goals.
Responsibilities
- Produce detailed business and functional requirement specifications from existing systems, previous drafts, and SME interviews
- Leads implementation, enhancement, and support activities for complex data integrations and programmed business logic to ensure consistency with user requirements and functional specifications. Produces business requirements documentation and functional design and technical design specification documents.
- Perform analysis including ‘pre-development’ Excel/VBA based tools and prototypes that cover various what-if scenarios and use-cases that will ultimately assist with development, testing and support
- Effectively communicates across teams in business matters inclusive of those with technical content. Blends technical and non-technical perspectives in verbal and written communications, focusing on the underlying business benefit and/or impact of proposed action. Builds effective relationships with business users and departments to develop a “joint” vision.
- Understand and identify dependencies/impacts to the entire ecosphere of ICCs Clearing Systems - proactively identify dependencies and impacts of changes to other clearing systems
Knowledge and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree (Finance, Financial Engineering, Mathematical Finance etc.) preferred.
- Data analysis - Must have advanced proficiency with SQL, Microsoft Excel-VBA or Maltab.
- Must have 5 or more years of prior experience in business analysis and worked as a liaison between Business and Technology teams as part of the SDLC process.
- Experience owning and driving business initiatives from initiation to implementation.
- Experience with OTC Credit Derivatives and/or other OTC derivatives – Interest Rate, Structured Products, Options. Candidate with good understanding and experience in working with Pricing / Risk Management / Portfolio Margining Models and Systems is preferred.
